About us:

Child Development Services (CDS) provides transdisciplinary paediatric allied health assessment services to children aged 0 – 8 years with developmental differences and complex developmental delays. CDS supports families to build on their understanding of their child's developmental delay or disability and facilitate transition to supports such as early intervention and community programs.

About the role:

  • Provide advanced clinical leadership and independent professional judgement for complex paediatric cases.
  • Lead human resource management to foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture.
  • Coordinate quality improvement and research activities to enhance service delivery and health outcomes.
  • Provide clinical practice supervision, education, and performance appraisal to less experienced clinicians.
  • Advise senior management on clinical standards and advocate for allied health services.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders to align services with strategic goals and improve transitions to community programs.

About you:

  • You hold a degree in one of the following Allied Health professions with full registration or eligibility for membership with your professional body:
    • Psychology
    • Physiotherapist
    • Occupational Therapist
    • Speech Pathologists
    • Social Work
  • You demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise in contemporary paediatric allied health practice.
  • You have a proven ability to lead and provide strategic direction to integrated multidisciplinary teams.
  • You apply independent professional judgement and evidence-based practice to complex developmental disorders.
  • You are an expert communicator who can build strong relationships with children, families, and stakeholders.
  • You possess the skills to design and deliver transdisciplinary training programs that build workforce capability.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $86,307 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
