Opportunity
Rural and Remote Connect proudly stands as the sole Queensland Health nursing agency filling critical staffing gaps across Queensland and the Torres Strait's remote locations.
Lead with purpose as our Director of Nursing / Facility Manager. This pivotal role offers the autonomy to make informed clinical decisions within established nursing, policy, and regulatory frameworks, while working collaboratively across leadership groups and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
You'll partner closely with nursing and midwifery executives to drive both clinical and corporate governance, champion the principles of clinical governance, and apply your professional expertise to shape high‑quality, safe, and effective care.
You need to have Australian working rights to join our highly experienced and diverse team.

What's on offer:
- Various contracts up to 12 weeks in rural and remote locations throughout Queensland
- Generous QH Casual rates plus a Rural and Remote Connect incentive:
- $115.82 to $124.07 p.h. (Nurse Grade 9)
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Travel and accommodation will be provided
Requirements:
- Proof of qualification, registration with AHPRA and a current practising certificate are mandatory requirements.
- Current working rights within Australia.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis and Japanese Encephalitis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted; including NDIS worker screening.
