Your new role:
As the Advanced Allied Health Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting clinicians and improving patient outcomes by:
- Delivering advanced clinical support and delegated patient interventions under Allied Health Professional supervision
- Assisting with treatment programs for individuals and groups with complex needs
- Supporting patient care including transport, manual handling and personal care tasks
- Coordinating day-to-day workloads for Allied Health Assistants across disciplines
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting less experienced staff and students
- Managing equipment, stock control and therapy resources
- Contributing to quality improvement, service delivery and patient safety initiatives
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, patients and carers
About you:
You will be a motivated and capable team member who thrives in a busy healthcare environment with:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience providing advanced delegated clinical support
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage patients, carers and staff
- Proven ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and adapt to changing demands
- Understanding of scope of practice and commitment to safe, high-quality care
- Leadership skills with the ability to guide, mentor and support others
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
- A collaborative, respectful and patient-centred approach

Logan Hospital:
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
