About the role
This flexible part-time (0.2 FTE) position offers the opportunity to work across one full day or two half days per week, supporting work–life balance while contributing to a high-impact clinical service. In this role, you will deliver targeted, short-term care for patients with suspected low-risk Metabolic dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease within a structured, consultant-supported model. You will lead a weekly 4-hour clinic for new patients, alongside a fortnightly 4-hour review clinic, with alternating time dedicated to administration, service development, and research activities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Perform the assessment of low-risk MASLD and develop a management plan of MASLD-focused care in accordance with the standards of the discipline, ethics of the profession and your Metro North approved Scope of Clinical
- Prepare appropriate correspondence for communication of recommendations, outcomes, plan of care to allow safe and effective transfer of care to the community.
- Maintain Hepatology service standards, guidelines, procedures and policies.
- Deliver appropriate high-quality management of patients and refer to other colleagues/services where clinically and professionally appropriate.
- Maintain currency of Professional Development as required by the relevant profession / College (e.g., RACGP).
