Your new role:
As a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist – Anaesthetics, you will provide expert clinical anaesthesia services across a broad range of specialties at Logan Hospital. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to patient care, education, innovation and clinical excellence.
In this role you will:
- Deliver high-quality anaesthetic care, acute pain management, pre-anaesthesia assessment and perioperative services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Support the growth of expanding surgical, obstetric and high-risk perioperative programs, including new specialist services planned as part of Logan Hospital's major expansion.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to Registrars, Principal House Officers and Resident Medical Officers.
- Contribute to teaching, research, service improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of contemporary models of care.
About you:
You are a highly skilled Anaesthetist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient outcomes while supporting education, innovation and service growth. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to continuous improvement and clinical excellence.
You will bring:
- Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), or eligibility to obtain Fellowship, and specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated expertise in contemporary anaesthetic practice with the ability to provide high-quality care across a diverse patient population.
- Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills, with experience supporting multidisciplinary teams and junior medical staff.
- An interest or experience in perioperative medicine, obstetric anaesthesia or expanding surgical services will be highly regarded.
