Pharmacy Support Team Leader

About the role:
- Lead and coordinate the pharmacy support workforce, overseeing day-to-day operations including rostering, recruitment, training, and performance management to ensure a capable and well-supported team.
- Contribute directly to high-quality patient care by undertaking advanced pharmacy assistant tasks under pharmacist supervision, while supporting efficient medication supply and service delivery across the hospital.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, monitoring key performance indicators, and implementing changes that strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and overall service quality.
- Provide operational leadership within the pharmacy team by managing resources, supporting strategic workforce planning, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation, and maintaining a safe and effective working environment, while exercising a high degree of autonomy, initiative, and sound judgment in decision-making.
About you:
- You hold the mandatory Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (HLT47115) or equivalent, along with recognised competency in pharmaceutical imprest management, and meet the regulatory requirements for hospital pharmacy assistants.
- Bring advanced knowledge of pharmacy assistant scope of practice, with demonstrated experience in hospital pharmacy operations including dispensing, distribution, inventory management, and use of electronic medication systems such as iPharmacy.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide, coach, and develop staff, manage performance, and contribute to workforce planning in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Be a proactive and adaptable professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, capable of working autonomously, leading change, building effective relationships, and ensuring services align with quality, safety, and professional standards.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,680 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.38 - $46.04 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
