What you'll do
As the Senior Systems Integrator, you will provide high-level technical advice and guidance to Queensland Health projects and programs regarding the capacity, resource requirements and delivery timeframes for application integration solutions of varying complexity. You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, liaising and negotiating to resolve issues relating to priorities, technical concepts, key technical decisions, scheduling and Queensland Health's change management processes, while maintaining a strong customer service focus. The role is responsible for managing and executing end-to-end software development activities to deliver new application integration interfaces across Queensland Health's messaging infrastructure, including coordinating with project teams and client stakeholders to achieve successful business outcomes. You will also provide ongoing support, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting for clinical application integration interfaces, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with agreed service level agreements and interface specifications. In addition, you will undertake other duties as required by your supervisor or line manager to support operational and project objectives.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated practical experience in: (SFIA: SINT Level 4)
- Java development for HL7 and Web Services
- Developing interfaces for HL7 V2.3, V2.4 and V3 Clinical Document Architecture
- Managing the process of HL7 interface development
- Managing the process of Java development utilising continuous delivery DevOps tools and practices
- In-depth experience of frameworks for:
- application development
- message brokering particularly with HL7 v2 and Clinical Document Architecture
- inversion of control
- object relational mapping
- ReSTful and SOAP web services
- security
- testing – unit, behaviour/functional, performance
- continuous build / test / integration
- metrics and monitoring
- Familiarity with the ITIL methodology and processes (SFIA: METL Level 4)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal project stakeholders and external application vendors in order to deliver the required healthcare outcomes (SFIA: RLMT Level 5)
