Your new role:

This is a unique opportunity to help establish and grow Logan Hospital's Cancer Service. As the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Cancer Care, you'll provide advanced clinical leadership while delivering expert oncology care and supporting the design, development and continuous improvement of cancer services across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical leadership and expert oncology nursing care across the cancer care continuum.
  • Support the design, implementation and ongoing evaluation of Logan Hospital's expanding Cancer Service.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based and person-centred care.
  • Lead education, quality improvement and service development initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

About you:

You are an experienced oncology nurse with strong clinical leadership skills and a passion for improving cancer care services.

Skills & Experience

  • Current NMBA registration as a Registered Nurse with extensive oncology nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide advanced clinical leadership and expert patient-centred care.
  • Strong communication, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Passion for service development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.

Logan Hospital:

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
