About the role

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient/client/resident-centred nursing care while working as a key member of the multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective and best practice health care.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to promote, maintain and improve the health, functional ability and quality of life of patients, clients and residents. You will also contribute to clinical education, support and supervision of colleagues and provide nursing leadership as required.

With opportunities across a range of TCHHS facilities, your clinical focus may include Emergency Care, General Ward Nursing, Primary Health Care, Perioperative Nursing, Mental Health, Aged Care, Palliative Care, Renal, Chronic Disease Management, Community Primary Health Care Programs and working with First Nations communities.

Positions are available across hospitals, primary health centres and multipurpose health services throughout the Torres Strait and Cape York.

About you

You will be a Registered Nurse who demonstrates sound clinical judgement, strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality and culturally responsive nursing care.

You will have the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, contribute to the education and support of others, and take accountability for your professional practice and decision-making.

You will be committed to working in partnership with patients, families, communities and other health professionals to support positive health outcomes.

  • Salary: $83,872.00 - $112,607.00 per annum
  • 17.5% annual leave loading
