We're excited to welcome a Principal Advisor Health and Wellbeing to our Safety & Wellbeing, Workforce Division team.

The role is responsible for the strategic development, coordination and continuous improvement of workforce health, safety and wellbeing services across all Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service locations with a focus on psychosocial risk management and workforce wellbeing.

With a primary focus on preventing work-related harm and supporting the wellbeing of our employees, the Principal Advisor Health and Wellbeing will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of psychosocial risk management and workforce wellbeing strategies and initiatives that strengthen organisational capability across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.

An integral function of this role is to work in partnership with line managers and leaders to embed contemporary psychosocial risk management and workforce wellbeing practices into leadership, work design and team management, strengthening organisational capability across Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide expert knowledge, strategic advice and guidance to the Executive Leadership Team, Director Safety & Wellbeing and senior leaders on psychosocial risk management, workforce health, safety and wellbeing. including high-risk controls and regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Develop positive business leader relationships and provide strategic and technical high-level advice to the Director Safety & Wellbeing, senior leaders and broader management teams on psychosocial risk management and health, safety and wellbeing.
  • Embed psychosocial risk management and workforce wellbeing into the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service ‘Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System' through the development and implementation of frameworks, procedures, processes, and guidance to effectively identify, assess and control psychosocial risk, including sexual harassment, bullying, work-related stress and fatigue.
  • Initiate, design and review the delivery of psychosocial risk management, and workforce wellbeing strategies across the organisation in collaboration with the existing safety and wellbeing services.

Remuneration value up to $172 400 p.a., comprising salary between $5396.70 - $5791.70 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO7) (Fixed Term Temporary position available for 8 months).
