About us:
The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service is responsible for delivering Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. Its primary objective is to ensure access to a comprehensive range of treatment and support services, clinical treatment, rehabilitation, disability support, as well as early intervention, and mental health prevention and promotion.

About your role:
In this position you will…..
- Use the biopsychosocial model to conduct mental health assessments and assist consumers and families/supports to develop a comprehensive individual recovery plan and facilitate the effective delivery of care.
- Work with families and client's communities to promote recovery and community inclusion, co-ordinate/facilitate access to generic supports, services, opportunities and resources necessary to meet the consumer's identified needs and goals.
- Develop and maintain collaborative work practices and relationships with other agencies (including non-government organisations), service providers and consumer and carer groups to ensure consumers have access to an integrated service system.
