What your day could look like

As Clinical Nurse - After Hours Coordinator, you'll help keep services running smoothly, ensuring patients receive safe, timely care while supporting staff across the hospital. You'll provide leadership after hours, coordinate resources and respond to changing priorities to deliver positive outcomes for patients and the community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Coordinating patient flow and staffing to support safe, efficient care delivery
  • Guiding teams through clinical, operational and emergency situations with confidence
  • Building collaboration across departments to meet service demands and achieve shared goals
  • Identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality and the patient experience

You're a calm and capable nursing professional who brings Compassion, Integrity and Courage to every shift. You make sound decisions under pressure, support others to succeed and take pride in creating safe experiences for patients and teams. You enjoy leading from the front, building trusted relationships and helping services perform at their best when it matters most.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Strong clinical leadership and healthcare coordination experience
  • Well-developed decision-making, communication and resource management skills
  • Commitment to quality improvement, safety and teamwork

You'll stand out if you have postgraduate study relevant to clinical practice and/or leadership experience in a rural or regional setting.

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about delivering safe, person-centred care and making a positive difference for the community.

Together, you'll help ensure safe care, strong teamwork and better outcomes, guided by Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage.
