We are currently recruiting for two Principal Procurement Advisor positions. Applicants may be considered for one or both of the following portfolios:

  • Principal Procurement Advisor (General Goods and Services)
  • Principal Procurement Advisor (Clinical Goods and Services)

 About Your New Role

As a Principal Procurement Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting either the Clinical Goods and Services category or the General Goods and Services category. You will deliver strategic sourcing and procurement activities, provide expert advice to stakeholders, and contribute to category management initiatives that deliver value-for-money outcomes and support high-quality healthcare services.

Working with a broad range of stakeholders, you will manage complex procurement projects, undertake market analysis, develop sourcing strategies and support supplier and contract performance across your portfolio. This is an opportunity to apply your procurement expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment and make a meaningful contribution to patient outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex procurement and sourcing activities across the Clinical Goods and Services or General Goods and Services portfolio
  • Provide specialist procurement and commercial advice to support strategic and operational objectives
  • Drive value-for-money outcomes through sourcing strategies, supplier engagement and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

  • While not mandatory, demonstrated knowledge of complex sourcing strategies, including experience managing high-value, high-risk procurements, with strong capability in contract development and commercial negotiations.
  • Deep expertise in procurement governance, frameworks and assurance practices within health and/or highly complex organisations is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in procurement, business, commerce or a related field will be highly regarded, as will professional procurement certifications or membership of a recognised industry body.
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time (two positions)
  • Base salary ranging from $144,315 - $154,879 per annum
