About us:
The Cairns and Hinterland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services (MHAODS) is responsible for delivering Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and for supporting other Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services in the surrounding Hospital and Health Services of Cape York, Torres Strait Northern Peninsula Area. Its primary objective is to ensure access to a comprehensive range of treatment and support services, clinical treatment, rehabilitation, disability support, as well as early intervention, and mental health prevention and promotion.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will…
- Provide high level clinical and professional leadership in partnership with the team leader and other clinicians with the Tablelands MHT to deliver a range of mental health services which is appropriate, acceptable and accessible to the Tablelands Hospital and Health Service.
- Identify and implement practice-based research and participate in staff education and development activities.
- Comply with contemporary human resource practices including occupational health and safety, employment equity, antidiscrimination and ethical behaviour.
- Undertake personal education, professional development and professional supervision.
