We're excited to welcome an oral health therapist to our team. You'll work in a supportive environment, delivering oral health therapy and dental hygiene services in an integrated model of care to adult and paediatric patients, working on site at schools and in our hospital and community clinics.
Sunshine Coast Health is a values-based organisation. We are committed to the maintenance of a culture in which we treat our colleagues with respect as we do our patients, consumers and the community. We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions.
We provide oral health services to people who meet the eligibility criteria for public dental care in Queensland.
Oral Health is part of our Community and Preventive Health (CPH) directorate, a diverse group of services that mostly deliver care outside the acute hospital setting. CPH covers the whole continuum of care, including population health, prevention, early detection, disease management, reducing disease progression and complications, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health care, rehabilitation and end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver oral health therapy services, including assessing, planning, providing and evaluating care for consumers with complex needs, in line with professional and ethical standards. As your experience grows, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement and problem-solving to more complex clinical decisions.
- Work to your full scope of practice as service delivery requires, including current evidence-based paediatric care such as stainless steel crowns, and hygiene care for adult patients.
- Meet clinical and operational key performance indicators and targets.
- Provide evidence-based care and commit to patient safety and quality by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.
Remuneration value up to $137,760 p.a., comprising salary between $83,824 - $120,740 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $42.27- $60.89 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (Permanent full time or part time position available.). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
Why work for us?
We offer rewarding career opportunities across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical areas across our health service and pride ourselves on providing a work environment that is safe, satisfying, flexible, and promotes a healthy work-life balance.
