Cadet Construction Technicians with RoadTek are provided training and experience in the construction of road transport infrastructure projects, considering quality, traffic, environmental issues, safety, engineering standards, budget constraints and construction economy.

We provide transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland and specialises in delivering technically difficult, hard-to-scope, high risk and shortlead-time projects. In the role of Cadet (Construction Technician), you will have opportunities to be a part of various projects and services, such as:

• Road construction, maintenance and rehabilitation.
• Structure construction, maintenance and rehabilitation.
• Asset management activities.
• Project management fundamentals.
• Civil Project Quality Plans.
• Inspection and test plans.
• Technical publications, procedures and specifications.
• Electrical services and digital infrastructure.
• Line marking services.
• Emergency and Incident response to disruptive events and infrastructure failures.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Cadets are required to be studying or eligible for enrolment in an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent qualification, accredited under the Dublin Accord.

Desirable Requirements
• Valid Queensland ‘C' class driver's licence or equivalent.
