PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To ensure a high level of community safety by providing assessment, treatment and intervention to offenders and groups of offenders within the correctional centre and assist with reception, assessment of risk and ongoing case management.
Possession of bachelor’s degree (4 year) in psychology or behavioural science
Current general or provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is mandatory. Applicants who are eligible for registration can apply but appointment will not be made until registration has been obtained.
There are no mandatory requirements for this position.
Assess offenders using appropriate tools and provide reports to relevant authorities
Assess at risk offenders and manage risk strategy
Participate in professional practice supervision
Contribute to case management of offenders and support their re-integration into the community
Applications to remain current for 12 months.
