Position Details: Advanced Health Worker (Mental Health) – Homeless Health Outreach Team, Mount Isa Mental Health Services, North West Hospital and Health Service. Remuneration value up to $67 348 p.a., comprising salary between $53 807 - $59 027 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (OO4) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
Purpose of the role: Provide cultural support to the Homeless Health Outreach Team under the guidance and direction of the Team Leader and Senior Indigenous Mental Health Workers. This will enhance the HHOT service delivery to address the complex health needs of Indigenous people with a mental illness who may also have a substance abuse problem and who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. To assist in the facilitation of collaborative work relationships between the Homeless Health Outreach Team and health, homeless and housing organisations providing services to Indigenous who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
To assist the Homeless Health Outreach Team to provide primary, secondary and tertiary consultation and education to services within the health, housing and homeless sectors. To advocate on behalf of client group to enable them to find pathways out of homelessness.
- Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community.

- This position will require the incumbent to work shifts as rostered.
