The Procurement Officer is responsible for: 

  • Co-ordinate and manage day to day procurement of goods and services in accordance with the Queensland Procurement Policy including goods receipting and invoice matching.
  • Process requisitions, purchase orders and credit card payments, ensuring procurement guidelines are followed correctly.
  • Responsible for end of month activities including review and reconcile outstanding purchase orders; credit card reconciliation; travel reconciliation; contract disclosures in accordance with Procurement Transformation guidelines.
  • Manage the Central Contracts register and co-ordinate contract administration to ensure contract register up to date.
  • Manage the Travel and Stationery accounts including administering access for new users within CCC delegations and coordinating the booking process to ensure staff are adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the creation of maintain Travel and Stationery training material and coordinate training for new users
  • Provide advice and coordinate the development, implementation and maintenance of effective procurement management systems.
  • Assist with the preparation of procurement/tender documents including go to market, evaluation and contract management functions.
  • Draft correspondence including reports, memos and acceptance letters.
  • Undertake procurement analysis and provide recommendations as required.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of continuous process improvement activities within agreed scope and timeframes.
  • Assist with the delivery of procurement training to Commission staff.
  • Work co-operatively within a team environment to provide quality support services.

Qualifications/professional registration/other requirements 

  • Certified copies of all qualifications must be produced at time of interview
  • Possession of level 2 Procurement Certification is highly desirable.
