An exciting opportunity exists for a Social Worker Senior in Allied Health Leadership.

The Social Worker Senior will deliver high level Social Work services and leadership across one or more specific work units. Allied Health clinicians within Maleny Hospital work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver independent high level Social Work clinical practice in an autonomous environment with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
  • Undertake clinical governance activities, such as the development of clinical practices and guidelines that support the continuum of care both within Maleny and throughout the SCHHS.
  • Provide clinical advice and education to professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery, utilising high level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced Allied Health practitioners, and students, to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within the Allied Health service, providing Performance and Development Plans (PDP), as delegated.
  • Actively lead the delivery of professional development and clinical practice training activities to students and staff, within Social Work and across multidisciplinary teams.

Remuneration value up to $131 165 full-time p.a., comprising salary rates $53.88 - $57.97 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (part time position, 15.2 hrs p.f.).
