About the Role

The purpose of the Court Liaison Officer (CLO) is to provide early identification of people with a mental illness and facilitate access to appropriate treatment, referral or advice. Additionally, the CLO provides Mental health assessments and diversion or referral for people appearing before the Magistrates' Court or detained in the local Watch House. Report on fitness for trial and USM for the court to assist with determinations under s172 Mental health Act 2016. Training will be provided to enable the successful applicant to complete this however a solid foundation of knowledge regarding the relevant concepts would be highly desirable. Provide advice, training and support to Court and Watch House staff on mental health issues as well as to less experienced clinicians within the Forensic Services Team.

Salary Information

The total remuneration value of up to $124,841 p.a. (HP4) or up to $140,297 p.a. (NRG7) is comprised of a salary between $101,686 and $109,418 p.a. (HP4) or between $113,261 and $122,964 p.a. (NRG7), up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution and 17.5% leave loading.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD)

It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on the Role Description.
