Senior Digital Communications Manager

Reporting to the Director, Strategy and External Affairs and working closely with the Executive Director, Marketing and Communications, the Senior Digital Communications Manager (DCM) is responsible for the strategy, development and operational management of all digital channel management activities of the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (Delivery Authority). The DCM will use their experience, market intelligence, and insights to develop and refine the Cross River Rail digital communications strategy to help meet the wider strategic needs of the Delivery Authority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present reports, proposals and briefings on significant issues related to the delivery of digital communications initiatives to support the business needs of the Delivery Authority.
  • Provide professional advice and strategic direction that enables the Delivery Authority to leverage the benefits of digital communication.
  • Lead and/or participate in strategic consultation with senior management, digital agencies and service providers to ensure the provision of digital solutions to meet the needs of the Delivery Authority.
  • Represent digital best practice and become a trusted advisor.
  • Champion and drive a culture of customer focus and continuous improvement in the delivery of digital communications activities, and operational management of website, social media channels, direct marketing and CRM.
  • Awareness and development of opportunities for improvement to the Delivery Authority's digital footprint.
  • Proactively coordinate and manage the development of digital content.
  • Manage effectively and efficiently internal resources covering web development, analytics and reporting, social media management, email marketing, CRM and digital project management.  
  • Manage the ideation and high-level design of any single digital asset or environment from implementation through to successful completion on time, within budget and on specification.
  • Document and communicate to relevant parties any changes to scope, timing or budget.
  • Work with the wider marketing team and external third-party digital agencies to produce all relevant project documentation, including Scope & Specification, Creative Brief, Technical & Functional Specification.
  • Source and manage external digital agencies to support delivery of specialist digital solutions.
  • Track and log project actions, issues, risks, change requests, approvals and lessons.
