The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Project Officer – Health Equity Strategy (Identified) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide quality advice to the Senior Director, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service, senior management and other stakeholders on health equity initiatives
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in service transformation and redesign
  • Support project planning and undertake project delivery of health equity initiatives
  • Assist in the development of complex project business cases, project plans, progress reports and closure reports

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community
  • Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - COVID 19
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

  • Base salary ranging from $92 447 - $100 587 per annum

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service provides a range of culturally appropriate programs, resources, and services to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. This service is based at Southport.
