Your Impact:

As a Psychologist at QCS, you'll play a crucial role in transforming lives. You'll work  within a multidisciplinary team, employing evidence-based assessments and brief  interventions for adults facing challenges related to mental health, suicidality,  cognitive impairment, or developmental disorders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Eligibility for registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • If eligible for Provisional Psychologist registration, you must be on the 4+2 internship pathway or have completed an APAC accredited 5th year degree in  psychology and be eligible for the 5+1 internship pathway.

Location:

Capricornia Correctional Centre is based in Rockhampton and accommodates male  prisoners functioning as a remand, reception and placement centre. Psychologists  working at the centre will have capacity to undertake assessments, conduct  intervention and engage in case management. The centre consists of a supportive multidisciplinary team who work closely together to support improvements to mental  health and positive rehabilitative outcomes. For provisional psychologists, the centre will provide support towards the completion of internship requirements and  supervision.
