Your Impact:

As a Psychologist at QCS, you'll play a crucial role in transforming lives. You'll worK within a multidisciplinary team, employing evidence-based assessments and brief interventions for adults facing challenges related to mental health, suicidality, cognitive impairment, or developmental disorders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Eligibility for registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • If eligible for Provisional Psychologist registration, you must be on the 4+2 internship pathway or have completed an APAC accredited 5th year degree in psychology and be eligible for the 5+1 internship pathway.

Borallon Training and Correctional Centre (BTCC) is located near Ipswich and accommodates primarily sentenced male prisoners.  The centre is focused on providing opportunities for rehabilitation through training, education and employment. 

Psychologists working at BTCC have the opportunity to conduct assessment, deliver group and individual intervention and engage in case management to support positive outcomes.  You will have the opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team and provided financial support towards undertaking supervision.
