Project Director Women Safety Reform

About the Command
The Transformation Office, within the Office of the Commissioner, Queensland Corrective Services (QCS), is responsible for leading the planning and delivery of the QCS' portfolio and reform agenda and comprises of:
• Portfolio Delivery: Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO)
• Strategic Transformation Group
• Portfolio Change and Communication
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of a program of work focused on improving outcomes for women in the correctional system and represent a significant opportunity for change and the betterment of women and children and reducing inter-generational impacts of incarceration. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and direction, ensuring effective program scoping and planning is undertaken and project management capabilities are maintained whilst leading a program team within a complex multi-agency service delivery environment.
With proactive identification, you will collaborate with project leads, coordinate project milestones, inter-dependencies, and impacts. You will analyse end user effects ensuring tactical to meet quality standards and compliance with QCS and whole of government standards.
You will forge key relationships using innovative and contemporary project management methodologies, manage procurement and assurance reporting to facilitate accurate and concise reporting for governance bodies, project Board, EPMO and the Portfolio Board. This key role will collaborate with key stakeholders to engage in consultation relating to business and corrective system improvement initiatives and you will foster a safety first, values driven environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
Is this role for you?
You will have a proven background and highly developed skill set in successful program delivery, be influential and a negotiator with the ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and drive performance and excellence to achieve strategic organisational outcomes. You will have experience leading the design and implementation of contemporary and innovative, fit for purpose solutions within a high-profile public sector environment. You will have a high-level understanding of key issues (current and emerging), trends and innovate approaches relating to the development of safe and effective frameworks to support women and children in domestic violence and/or custodial situations, a background in change management,
strong research and analytical problem-solving skills and exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation).
You will have experience in risk mitigation and strategic planning to meet organisational objectives, this critical role will manage a high-performing team, delivering excellence and fostering a collaborative culture. Does this sound like you?

A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Work and/or Counselling would be highly regarded as would a qualification in program/project management but is not essential to be considered for this opportunity.
