Community Corrections are seeking permanent full-time Senior Case Managers to join our DOOMADGEE & MORNINGTON ISLAND Reporting Centres.

Community Corrections is responsible for supervising adults subject to Community Based Orders and/or Parole. The Senior Case Manager ensures a high level of community safety through the effective case management of clients within the community addressing their assessed risks & needs.

You will play a vital role in protecting the community, working as part of a dedicated team, you will act as an agent of change to address offending behaviour & encourage rehabilitation, making our communities safer.

Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management, staff and internal and external stakeholders at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues
  • Able to work self-sufficiently and to cope with the pace, complexity and multi-tasking required in the operating environment.
  • Able to demonstrate experience working within a legislative framework that underpins a core service delivery area.
  • Ability to build and manage ongoing working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Interpersonal skills for negotiating with key stakeholders, who often have competing interests, on sensitive and complex issues.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills


Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements:

  • As this position will require travel and work across various locations possession of a driver's licence, minimum C class Australian licence is a mandatory requirement.
  • Individuals employed on a permanent or temporary basis will be required to complete Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community). All activities and assessments associated with the Certificate IV are to be completed within 12 months of commencing their employment, and certification achieved within 18 months.
