Community Corrections within the Queensland Drug and Alcohol Court is responsible for supervising adult participants subject to a community-based Drug and Alcohol Treatment Order within a therapeutic jurisprudence framework.
As a Queensland Corrective Services Case Manager at the Queensland Drug and Alcohol Court, you will be responsible for the assessment, case planning and case management of participants with complex needs by utilising a trauma informed approach.
You will administer interventions to address issues related to offending behaviour, develop and maintain relationships with community-based service providers, complete community-based referrals to address identified needs, and execute duties as an officer of the Court.
Within this role you will provide information to the Court regarding the suitability of individuals applying to be subject to a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Order, report on participant's progress, and make recommendations in line with a behavioural consequences framework to assist participants make incremental behavioural change and progress through the program.
You will work collaboratively with numerous Queensland Drug and Alcohol Court stakeholders comprising a Magistrate and staff from Department of Justice and Attorney-General, Queensland Health, Queensland Police Service and Anglicare Southern Queensland and have well developed negotiation and interpersonal skills to achieve best outcomes for participants.
