Brisbane Correctional Centre has an exciting opportunity for someone to fill the role of Staff Training Coordinator. This is a busy role working across the centre and assisting management to ensure Custodial Officers and staff training are maintained according to both training frameworks and timeframes. You will manage training data and reporting and work with the Agency's Learning Management System.
Reporting to your Manager at the Queensland Corrective Services Academy, Wacol you will work as part of a team based across the State within a centralised model of training delivery. This role also requires the ability to deliver training in the correctional centre.

Below is the summary of main tasks:
- Manage the planning and resourcing of the centre's training requirements to ensure that all Correctional Officers maintain their qualifications as prescribed by the Agency
- Coordinate and deliver operational training to meet their centre's needs and forecast training requirements and resources to deliver on centre based training needs, most importantly the STC is to provide management with support to ensure correctional officers maintain current competency in their vocational certificate and all mandatory training requirements
- Conduct training needs analysis for centre staff across a range of functions and activities and develop training plans
- Manage the centre's training assessment function; this includes providing support to learners undertaking assessments, providing moderation for trained centre assessors
- Confirmation and quality assurance of assessments prior to progressing to QCS Academy for validation
- Oversee the centre's training administration and records including storage, retrieval and archiving commensurate with RTO standards
- Produce statistical training data and reporting for centre management and the QCS Academy on a regular basis that supports decision making on future training needs and resourcing
- Deliver quality training to staff within the centre and design training programs in conjunction with the QCS Academy
