Within the context of the role responsibilities described above under “About the role', the ideal applicant will be someone who can competitively demonstrate their knowledge, skills and experiences and their suitability against the Leadership competencies for Queensland (Individual Contributor): Vision, Results and Accountability in the context of the essential requirements for this role:

The essential requirements for this role are:

- Demonstrated experience providing effective and efficient administration support to senior management.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation including senior/executive level managers, on sensitive and confidential issues.
- Ability to work both in a team and autonomously, and appropriately use initiative in the absence of decision-makers.
- Exceptional organisational skills (including managing time, workloads and priorities) and the ability to flexibly respond and problem solve within an environment of competing and changing priorities.
- An understanding of systems and the ability to proactively identify and implement business improvements.
- Intermediate to advanced skills using IT systems including the MS365/Office Suite comprising Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with demonstrated advanced skills in diary and email management using MS Outlook.
