The Community Corrections and Specialist Operations Command (CCSO) is undertaking significant transformational change and project delivery. The CCSO program management office (PMO) has been established to enhance CCSO project and program management capabilities, support successful execution of projects within the remit of CCSO, and align associated project efforts with strategic goals.
The Principal Project Officer HR is responsible for contributing to key strategic planning, model enhancement and implementation activities to support successful rollout of the CCSO PMO and enhanced project delivery functions across CCSO. This role will co-ordinate people capability strategies and activities that support transition, with a focus on facilitating organisational human resource and procurement activities. This will include the implementation of all associated processes and deliverables.

Within the context of the role responsibilities described under “About the role', the ideal applicant will be someone who can competitively demonstrate their knowledge, skills and experiences and their suitability against the Leadership competencies for Queensland (Team Leader)
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in providing contemporary human resource, employee relations and industrial relations advice to support business outcomes.
- Proven ability in designing and implementing contemporary, innovative and fit-forpurpose solutions to support organisational realignment and transition within a complex service delivery organisation across the CCSO PMO project office.
- Demonstrated experience in business consultation processes to establish consultation frameworks, gather material, assess findings, and develop suitable human resource strategies.
- Experience in the development of workforce planning activities to ensure future workforce needs are met, the effective utilisation of staff resources, and quality HR outcomes.
- High level interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly and maintain strategic working relationships with a wide range of internal and external shareholders to influence and drive project outcomes.
- Experience in implementation solutions through effective communication and change management to ensure that solutions are implemented as required.
- Knowledge of, or ability to, quickly develop a strong understanding of the business change requirements resulting from organisational re-design and translate this into strategic HR change project management activities and initiatives.
- Ability to follow and facilitate the required documents in accordance with QCS Procurement, Policy and Procedure.
The incumbent may be required to undertake professional development and training relevant to the role as deemed necessary including, but not limited to, relevant HR and procurement training.
