Townsville Hospital and Health Service, is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook and Palm Island. We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.
In this role you will participate as a member of the Kirwan Community Care Team in providing comprehensive mental health assessment, case management, intervention or group work as required within a multidisciplinary framework. The position is responsible for ensuring the implementation of individual assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow up, multidisciplinary consultation, liaison with referring agents, discharge planning and evaluation of care.

Clinical Nurse
Remuneration package of up to $132,289 p.a., comprising base salary range of $107,960 - $115,604 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).
Psychologist or Occupational Therapist or Social Worker
Remuneration package of up to $132,567 p.a., comprising base salary range of $79,051 - $116,189 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP3), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).

About the role
Kirwan Community Care Team provides a range of services to consumers in the short, medium and long term. These include:Individual treatment programs, Family interventions, Individual and Group therapy, Psychology services, Psychiatric Outpatient Clinics and Case Management. The Community Mental Health Service provides community-based assessment and treatment using case management in the context of a multidisciplinary team, for people with moderate to severe mental health problems.
In this role you will provide comprehensive mental health assessment, case management, intervention or group work as required within a multidisciplinary framework. The position is responsible for ensuring the implementation of individual assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow up, multidisciplinary consultation, liaison with referring agents, discharge planning and evaluation of care using appropriate outcome and data measurement systems.
Role requirements
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/ manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
