Brisbane Correctional Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychologist. Brisbane Correctional Centre is a high security centre. The centre is the primary reception centre for newly sentenced male prisoners in SEQ with the view to supporting prisoners to move onto a placement centre following assessment. The centre has a Maximum Security Unit, Safety Unit and Close Supervision and Support Unit - these units accommodate some of the most complex and vulnerable male prisoners. The Senior Psychologist is responsible for the provision of high-level, specialist mental health assessment and intervention, and provides clinical supervision and leadership to a multidisciplinary team. The role will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team effectively integrating psychology perspectives with other operational perspectives to affect optimal outcomes for prisoners.
