Manage the day-to-day activities of the Centre’s Administration area. Supervision of general administrative staff. Records management.
Maintain high level knowledge of the telephone system. Fleet management. Office accommodation.
Review and evaluate administrative systems and recommend improvements to increase their efficiency and effectiveness.
Liaise with the General Manager and other members of the senior management team and provide advice on the administrative aspects of the facility’s operations.
Act as the Site Administrator for the facility. Oversee and monitor the trust account and accounts payable functions of the Centre.
Monitor the financial performance of the Centre and provide advice to the Correctional Manager, Business Services regarding significant variances to budget.
Validate accounts payable transactions before payment release authorised.

- Experience in financial functions and managing administration functions.
- Ability to supervise staff.
- Experience in managing and co-ordinating a wide range of account management functions.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues.
- Experience with the use of financial management systems (SAP would be an advantage).
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the position.
- Effective interpersonal skills as evidenced by the ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a range of competing interests.
