Deliver end to end procurement support and advice in alignment with Chief Procurement Officer direction, and review and respond to performance metrics to continuously improve and optimise procurement outcomes.
- Efficient time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks as demands arise and with competing priorities
- Problem solving skills with the ability to apply a range of problem solving strategies and show initiative in identifying and solving problems both independently and as a team member.
- Ability to use judgment and discretion with confidential information.
- Sound information technology, including proficiency in using a range of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and databases and other office technology.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service.
- Demonstrated attention to detail in the preparation and review of detailed documentation.
- Respect for sensitivity and confidentiality of issues and information handled.
- Planning and organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures Experience in financial functions and managing administration functions.
- Experience in managing and co-ordinating a wide range of account management functions.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues.
- Experience with the use of financial management systems (SAP would be an advantage).
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the position.
- Effective interpersonal skills as evidenced by the ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a range of competing interests.
- Demonstrated written communication and research skills including the ability to prepare reports and submissions on complex matters.
There are no mandatory qualifications. However, Procurement Certification Program level 1 or 2 or equivalent as verified by Queensland Government Procurement qualification are desirable.
