QCS is hiring Senior Psychologists at two South-East Queensland locations. This leadership role oversees a multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical supervision and operational management. The team delivers assessments, group and individual\ interventions, and crisis management within a case management framework. You’ll lead meetings on suicide risk and complex prisoner needs, collaborate with stakeholders, and apply advanced clinical skills and judgement. Integral to the provision of high-level clinical services with a Correctional Centre, the Senior Psychologist role supervises and leads operational management of the multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive mental health assessments and interventions.

This is a unique operating environment which provides opportunity for you to expand your expertise managing complex clinical cases and contributing to ongoing operational service integrity by providing clinical supervision and leadership to the team. Mandatory qualifications and registrations required:

  • Bachelor's degree (4 years) in psychology or behavioural science.
  • General registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

Borallon Training and Correctional Centre (Ipswich) - BTCC operates a busy, purposeful and structured day with provision of a wide range of services including training, programs, and employment opportunities. The prisoner management model is facilitated through a co-design initiative utilising the services of several contracted service providers that are leaders in the industries of care, reintegration, employment, training and education. 

Wolston Correctional Centre (Brisbane) - WCC is a male protection placement centre adjacent to Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre at Wacol. The centre takes an integrated approach to the delivery of services to prisoners through a structured day timetable. Metal fabrication, paint and powder coating, textiles and assembly workshops are the major industrial workshops at Wolston Correctional Centre. The centre delivers a broad range of intervention and general offending
programs and delivers a range of sexual offending treatment programs.
