The Alcohol and Other Drugs service aims to build safe and healthy communities by taking action to minimise the health, social and economic harms caused by alcohol and other drugs.

Your role:

The primary role of this position is to deliver standardised clinical assessment, treatment and education in line with evidence-based practice for clients who access the Alcohol and Other Drug Service (AODS). The position works within a multi-disciplinary AOD service to provide psychology specific services and consultation as required within the team and the service.

Your team:

The Mackay AODS provides a specialist and comprehensive service across the continuum of alcohol and other drug assessment, intervention and community maintenance/aftercare. The service is supportive of the client and their family/carer through child and family sensitive practice.

Conditions of employment:

In addition to any mandatory requirements specified on the Role Description, such as Professional Registration and Qualifications, and prior to being made an offer of employment, incumbents are required to demonstrate their immunity to all or some of the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox), Pertussis (whooping cough).
