About the role:

As a Project Officer, you will be involved in providing administrative and clerical support, undertake project work, basic research, and analysis to assist the division. You will be required to utilise your communication and interpersonal skills in coordinating and preparing executive correspondence. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will support you in providing advice and information on projects in line with government priorities.

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to prepared correspondence, reports, and submissions for the Director and Senior Management, and assisted in dealing with Ministerial, parliamentary, and intergovernmental enquiries as required.
  • Assisted with auditing and contributed toward the development and maintenance of administrative support systems that assisted with legislative and administration obligations.
  • Contributed to the development and review of administrative procedures impacting workflow and customer service.
  • Ability to support the Technical Assessment of mining tenures through administration processes.
  • Maintained and updated departmental information systems and was accountable for internal and external correspondence as directed.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as the ability to manage multiple complex projects and business processes.
