Due to internal promotion and staff movement, we have a number of opportunities available.

Are you an experienced legal administrator or legal secretary looking for a change? We are looking for career legal support staff with experience in family law practice wanting to undertake diverse and challenging work.  This is a great opportunity to assist our lawyers in our various Family Law teams with all administrative activities associated with case file work.

As a Litigation Support Officer you will play an integral role in the following:

  • Managing administrative activities associated with a case file including opening, closing and archiving files, transcribing interviews, filing and service of documents, data entry and searches
  • Assisting with preparing for matters including preparing correspondence, keeping detailed file notes, gathering personal information, drafting affidavits and preparing summons/subpoenas
  • Providing first point of contact service and managing all incoming calls
  • Supporting the lawyers prioritise daily tasks and maintaining appointments and calendars

You will have:

  • significant legal administration experience and the ability to work independently
  • ability to type with accuracy and speed 
  • have experience using a variety of IT platforms - at LAQ we use digital dictation software, BigHand and case management database systems
  • effective communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
