Role details

The Operational Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

  • To ensure the effective operation of Porterage, Cleaning, Waste, Courier, Grounds and Gardens and Patient Equipment Loan Store at the Mackay Base Hospital and Community Health facilities providing Co-ordination and the supervision of staff under the direction of Manager Operational Services.
  • This position will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Operational Services Department ensuring that the expected performance outcomes are achieved as well as other quality improvement activities.
  • This position will also be required to work with and provides support and advice to the Manager Operational Services.

About the Team

Operational Services provides and co-ordinates a diverse range of services that support the clinical divisions in the delivery of patient centred health care at Mackay Base Hospital. The department consists of the following keys areas: Cleaning Services, Porterage Services, Waste Management, Grounds and Gardens and Patient Equipment Loan Store.

The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
