We’re looking for an experienced Senior Program Officer to support the develop the policy and strategy for the Department’s role in the growth of natural capital markets and investment in Queensland and support the management of the Natural Capital Program’s governance and reporting functions.

Your contribution:
• Support and lead specific elements of the Natural Capital Program particularly relating to planning, reporting and governance.
• Assist in the design and maintenance of documentation to track and report progress of the program, and provide advice to management on program activities, engagements and contribute to issue identification, escalation and resolution.
• Collaborate with and build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including First Nations people
• Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people

About you:
• Proven problem-solving skills including an ability to investigate and provide evidence-based advice on policy, administration and project management issues.
• Experience in developing effective working relationships with other staff in the department, within the Queensland Public Sector, strategic partners and third-party service providers.
• An ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, establish priorities and work as an effective member of a team to successfully contribute to organisational objectives in a high paced and changing working environment.
