The Digital Economy Program Office (DEPO) is part of the Office of Assurance and Investment that aims to improve digital delivery outcomes to the Queensland Government on its data, digital and ICT investments. The DEPO is responsible for tracking the delivery of initiatives and outcomes that support Queensland’s Digital Economy Strategy.

The Digital Economy Program Office (DEPO) is part of the Office of Assurance and Investment that aims to improve digital delivery outcomes to the Queensland Government on its data, digital and ICT investments.
The DEPO's role is key to maximising the success and value of the Digital Economy Strategy, by ensuring that new and existing initiatives are prioritised and aligned to the evolving digital technology and the needs of Queenslanders.
The DEPO team works with:
• Initiative leads and program/project teams to monitor progress and aid the removal of blockers.
• Director-Generals and Executive Government to provide status reporting on in flight initiatives and their contribution to Queensland's strategic priorities.
• Departmental leaders to ensure that the Digital Economy Strategy and associated action plans are propelling Queensland to be a thriving digitally enabled State.
As a member of the DEPO team you will:
• Develop and maintain systems to collate data, monitor and report on the status and performance of program initiatives, risks and issues to meet governance, departmental and government reporting obligations.
• Prepare program budget status reports on the financial position including early warnings of deviations / variations.
• Engage with project and program leads to capture data on deliverables, milestones and resources requirements within the program schedule.
• Support project leads to identify and assess risks, issues, mitigation and escalation strategies.
• Liaise with Procurement, Finance and Administration staff to monitor, source and engage suppliers and/or contractors.
• Produce correspondence, collateral, documents, presentations, board papers, reports and briefings for key stakeholders, senior management and program governance boards.
• Work closely with the Program Manager to maintain templates, tools and systems to support governance and oversight of the portfolio, including use of contemporary project management software and Power BI.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with project and program leads and stakeholders to aid contribution to the implementation of digital economy initiatives.

As Senior Program Officer you will support the Program Manager with day-to-day management and reporting of program initiatives that support the digital economy portfolio and play a key role in uplifting the DEPO function and day-to-day management of the digital economy portfolio, including development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation activities to facilitate successful delivery of program initiatives and outcomes.
