Your contribution
As a Senior Communications Officer, your role will be invaluable in driving positive change and shaping our organisational culture. Your days will be dynamic and varied, with each presenting new challenges and opportunities to make a difference.
A day in the life of a Senior Communications officer may include:
• Creating articles, presentations, posters, and social media style content (using Canva) that resonates with our diverse workforce and promotes respect, safety, and inclusion.
• Developing and maintaining SharePoint and intranet content.
• Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to brainstorm and gather insights to inform creative campaign ideas, as well as seeking out feedback on work underway and delivered.
• Making it easier for staff to understand workplace legal obligations to prevent sexual harassment and discrimination, and what the department is doing to meet them.
• Discussing sensitive and challenging workplace matters, to better understand how we communicate and engage our workforce to prevent and respond to disrespect.
• Collaboratively reflecting to celebrate the wins, identify opportunities for improvement and highlight lessons learnt.
• Supporting colleagues to create strategic and effective communication strategies and materials.
• Representing the team at meetings or webinars and sharing back key insights and learnings.
