What you will do (key responsibilities/duties)
• Lead and manage staff in the Fleet Management team to coordinate major leased motor vehicle projects across the department.
• Lead and coordinate the development of strategies, management policies and critical business processes, to promote effective and efficient operational and resource management outcomes and effective work health and safety outcomes for staff within the BCP.
o Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF)
o Department of Environment and Science (DES)
o Department of Resources (Resources)
• Undertake analyses of leased motor vehicle utilisation to rationalise fleets to drive efficiencies in cost and implement strategies that meet the business needs and achieves key performance targets, in a complex and diverse operating environment.
• Develop and provide policy, standards, processes, and procedures with an emphasis on uniformity, compliance, safety and sustainability.
• Provide high quality written and oral advice in relation to the impacts of changes in legislation, and changes in whole-of-government policy, procedures, standards, and trends relating to leased motor vehicles, safety, and sustainability.
• Implement and prepare projects, policies, business cases, reports, submissions, briefings, and correspondence to a high standard.
• Liaise, negotiate, consult, and develop effective networks with internal and external stakeholders to a high order, including government agencies, and service providers to successfully deliver cost effective outcomes.
• Provide high quality and timely advice to the Director, Strategic Infrastructure Management.
What you will bring (qualifications, registrations and experience)
• Demonstrated experience in project management or fleet leasing experience.
• Understanding of vehicle makes/model and general fit-out knowledge.
• High-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate experience in budget and financial principles.
