The Senior Policy Officer's key responsibilities are:
• Undertake necessary and appropriate research, conduct surveys, and coordinate feedback from others for the effective development of policy, procedures, and guidelines.
• Provide accurate financial, governance and risk policy advice to departmental staff, including senior management.
• Contribute to the timely development of a range of high-quality, well-researched, briefing documents, submissions, reports, and correspondence.
• Coordinate and lead reporting on the department's business continuity processes, disaster recovery support and organisational resilience.
• Coordinate and lead timely reporting on the department's Legislative Compliance requirements.
• Deliver assigned tasks in line with specified scope and timeframes whilst balancing competing priorities.
• Assist in guiding an effective and efficient risk management approach across the department, including ensuring currency and maintenance of risk registers, policy, procedure and associated frameworks and processes.
• Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with key partners, including consultation and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
