Key responsibilities
• Research and prepare a range of high-level project documentation, including detailed reports for Project Supervisory Boards, Steering Committees and other relevant stakeholders, briefing notes and submissions.
• Lead and/or contribute to project support tasks including, but not limited to, variations to contracts, risk workshops as required, managing and maintaining the projects' Risk Context Profile and Risk Register changes to existing practices and procedures, and developing and managing new systems to support consistency across the region.
• Undertake high level data analysis and project performance reporting to provide project teams with relevant and accurate information, including detailed project/program positional reports and analysis using specialised software (3PCM, Power BI etc).
• Regularly monitor and report on the project budget, schedule and resource usage against key performance measures.
• Provide guidance and advice to project managers to ensure compliance with delivery frameworks and agency requirements; and successful, efficient delivery strategies and practical procurement practices are applied across the portfolio of regional major projects.
• Manage project activities to support the project manager and project team, including industry briefings, risk workshops, training activities and project openings, project document control activities, management and/or control of project Control Management System.
• Review and analyse incoming and outgoing project correspondence and documentation to identify issues and risks for inclusion in the appropriate registers.
• Promote best practice project management support approaches and a culture of learning and continuous improvement across the department.
• Ensure all project support activities, including workforce planning, establishment management, maintenance, review and close-off, are undertaken in line with relevant guidelines, policies and protocols.
• Lead and prioritise the combining of procurement activities to provide efficiencies/flexibility/responsiveness to the engagement of project resources.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.

Desirable requirements of the role
• A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence
• Construction Industry ‘White Card'
• Previous experience working with 3PCM reporting
• A demonstrated understanding of delivery frameworks and applicable agency requirements (PAF, IA, BQ, IIC, OnQ, QG & AG)
• Previous experience working with the Department of Transport and Main Roads will be highly regarded
