Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) is a self-funded commercialised business unit within the department and is responsible for delivering the objectives of the Economic Development Act 2012, principally the facilitation of economic development and development for community purposes.

You can play a key role by providing assistance to the Marketing and Engagement team in the implementation of various property development projects being developed by EDQ. Reporting to the Principal Engagement Officer, you will work on the Northshore project to provide high quality, professional and efficient community and stakeholder engagement services.

The Marketing and Engagement team is part of Business Operations at EDQ. We create value for EDQ customers and stakeholders by raising awareness of our places, driving demand for projects, activating our precincts and delivering effective, accessible and transparent engagement processes.

Your contribution:
» In conjunction with the relevant EDQ project teams, Principal Engagement Officer and the Director of Marketing and Engagement, drive the planning and implementation of community engagement programs.
» Ensure professional awareness of the latest technologies, techniques and networks available, in order to identify opportunities to improve engagement strategies.
» Work with external engagement providers to manage the roll out of roadwork construction engagement plans within Northshore.
» Maintain the Consultation Manager database for engagement purposes for Northshore.
» Maintain the 'Have Your Say' website for Consultation Manager purposes, ensuring approval processes are followed.
» Coordinate and manage engagement correspondence.
» Actively engage in a team environment and be a part of a positive culture, challenge issues, engage with risk, show personal courage, and commit to action.
» Provide advice to Marketing and Engagement team colleagues on engagement best practice and process.
» Provide EDQ with a range of engagement services. Assist in the development and implementation of project specific strategies and programs, and undertake research.
» Appropriately manage community views and concerns, in order to gain general community understanding of the intended development.
» Support the delivery of appropriate systems, frameworks, and processes to facilitate a formalised, systematic, and consistent approach to community engagement across EDQ, including the development of EDQ's stakeholder engagement framework.
» Working with the Principal Engagement Officer, manage EDQ's on-line engagement presence via the key engagement tool, EngagementHQ and assist with rolling out stakeholder management system updates.
» Implement procedures that contribute to developing a work environment, which is accountable, fair and safe that works towards achieving effective and efficient outcomes for EDQ.
