You will play a key role in supporting the Director, Office of the Deputy Director-General (ODDG) to lead the delivery of Business Services functions for Tourism Division to ensure efficient and effective tourism service delivery. You will work closely with the Director ODDG, General Managers and project teams within Tourism and DTS Corporate Services to inform, develop and maintain operational systems and processes. You will coordinate the delivery of finance, human resources, audit, operational reporting, information and technology and assure the provision of high quality, timely executive advisory services including correspondence and briefing materials.

More specifically the Manager, Business Services will:
• Proactively lead and coordinate all business services and corporate services matters for the Tourism division, including the functions of finance, audit, human resources, accommodation, executive services and correspondence, information management and technology, governance, performance and risk management.
• Lead a small, effective team coordinating business services across the Tourism Division.
• Oversee the budget process including coordination of Budget Submissions, annual Budget, Forward Estimates updates and end of financial year processes.
• Ensure effective management and monitoring of the Division's Budget and expenditure in accordance with statutory responsibilities, government priorities and departmental policies and procedures.
• Present monthly reports to the Director, ODDG on finance, human resources and other business services activities and provide advice on an ongoing basis.
• Work closely with Project Delivery Teams to ensure the tracking of budgets and actual expenditure including capital reporting meets the project or delivery requirements.
• Oversee the provision of advice and support in relation to asset management, information technology and records management, conducting research and investigations to implement solutions which enhance business outcomes and ensure efficient day to day operations are in accordance with governance requirements.
• Analyse, report and resolve a range of human resource issues through the implementation of solutions and strategies that meet the needs of the Division with an emphasis on continuous improvement and providing strategic advice to the Senior Leaders to ensure service delivery is achieved.
• Achieve Corporate Governance deliverables in consultation with DTS Corporate Services including performance and risk requirements, preparation of budget papers and Estimates Briefs.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and support officers to achieve activities across the Division.
• Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours which maintain a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.
