About the role

Permanent part time opportunity play a key role in the Queensland Statewide Antimicrobial Stewardship Program to optimise the use of antimicrobials in order to prevent the emergence of multi-resistant organisms, improve the outcome of infection, ensure cost-effectiveness and reduce adverse effects of antimicrobials.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Undertake high level Pharmacy duties with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision
  • Deliver high level clinical Pharmacy services to Queensland facilities supported by QSAMSP including contribution to a working hours hotline for prescribers and pharmacists in accordance with prescribed professional, legislative and ethical standards
  • Provide sound, high level advice and assistance to clinical staff relating to evidence-based optimal use of antimicrobials, and to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery
  • Provide clinical education to health practitioners throughout Queensland
