The Performance Unit in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet is seeking a Principal Policy Officer to contribute to our work supporting the accountability and transparency of the Queensland Government.
The successful candidate will join our small team driving the implementation of the whole-of-government Queensland Government Performance Management Framework policy in collaboration with Queensland Government agencies. This position offers a unique insight into policy and program delivery from a whole-of-government perspective. We are looking for someone with experience in government performance management, analysis of multifaceted performance informationand the ability to support team members to deliver team objectives.

About Us:
The Performance Unit, within Cabinet Services and Intergovernmental Relations, The Cabinet Office, plays a central role in supporting and providing strategic advice to the Premier and Cabinet and working collaboratively with all Queensland agencies to drive delivery of government priorities including commitments and decisions.
The Performance Unit are also the custodians of the Queensland Government Performance Management Framework policy (PMF), legislated by the Financial Accountability Act 2009 and lead responsive action to drive improvement and build capability across agencies in the implementation of the PMF to improve agency performance management.
Your opportunity:
The Principal Policy Officer role in the Performance Unit is responsible for the provision of advice and coordination of whole-of-government performance management to drive implementation of the PMF through providing advice, guidance and support to Queensland Government agencies on the PMF elements of planning (strategic and operational planning), measuring and monitoring performance (Service Delivery Statements) and reporting (Annual Reports).
